Conflict Resolution Storytelling Project
Overview
This project was completed during my course on storytelling and video production. We were given a folder with stock footage to utilize and compose a story. My particular direction was to use a take on resolving a challenge in their relationship. This was a great opportunity to focus on how to utilize visuals and voiceover to convey a story.
Audience: General population between the ages of 16 -25.
Responsibilities: Storyboarding, Video Editor, Voice Over artist, Audio editor
Tools used: Adobe Premiere Pro, Garageband
Process
At the beginning of the project, I started by looking through the clips to see what was available to me and setting a possible storyline. I then created a storyboard on paper to construct the scenes that would be used to highlight key plot points and the structure of the clip. With the structure in place, I gathered the clips into Adobe Premiere pro and began sequencing them to align with the storyboard. I then inserted Title scenes and crafting the script that would be used for the voiceover. This was done in a Google Doc and recorded in Premiere Pro. This allowed me to ensure that my timing was precise and aligned with the video clips.
Once all pieces were arranged and recorded, I went through the video to analyze it for any irregularities, sound issues, or viewability challenges. I also requested feedback from another colleague to check for any errors that i may have missed.
